Which Union Territory has the largest area?

Ladakh

Ladakh is the largest Union Territory of India by area, covering approximately 59,146 square kilometers. Located in the northernmost part of India, it was formed on October 31, 2019, after the reorganization of Jammu and Kashmir into two separate Union Territories. Ladakh is known for its rugged mountains, high-altitude deserts, and Buddhist monasteries, with famous landmarks like Pangong Lake, Nubra Valley, Magnetic Hill, and Hemis Monastery. The UT is strategically important as it shares borders with China and Pakistan. Governed by a Lieutenant Governor, Ladakh does not have a legislative assembly and is administered directly by the Central Government.
